- Pre-teach some of the material from the upcoming academic lesson. Provide rehearsal and practice of some of the content or activity so it is familiar to student when he sees it in class.
- Provide something in the lesson on student’s level. Differentiate instruction. Provide student with a role or function in the lesson or give him something to work on that connects him with what the other kids are doing.
